Our Misson Statement
The mission of Evening Star Quilters is to promote interest and encourage participation in the art of
quilting; to stimulate and coordinate the efforts and talents of individuals interested in quilting; to provide educational
activities to help achieve these purposes among the members; to promote and stimulate public interest in quilting; to provide
for participation in quilt-related community activities; to provide the means for an exchange of ideas and mutual assistance
to the members as well the means for social interaction and fellowship among members; to sponsor activities open to the public
for the purpose of demonstrating the art of quilting including its techniques, its roots and role in the Country's history,
together with its originality and craftsmanship.
The Nominating Committee is a standing committee
that is always looking for members to get involved.
Members are voted in to serve as officers of the guild or members at large. Some
positions within the guild are appointed by the President. These Commitee Chairs look for members to help with
various activites. For example, the Membership Chair may ask for people to help sign in or greet members at monthly
meetings.
Volunteer by
becoming involved with one of our standing committees. It is a great way to meet the other members and you have a voice
in your guild!
