Our Misson Statement

The mission of Evening Star Quilters is to promote interest and encourage participation in the art of quilting; to stimulate and coordinate the efforts and talents of individuals interested in quilting; to provide educational activities to help achieve these purposes among the members; to promote and stimulate public interest in quilting; to provide for participation in quilt-related community activities; to provide the means for an exchange of ideas and mutual assistance to the members as well the means for social interaction and fellowship among members; to sponsor activities open to the public for the purpose of demonstrating the art of quilting including its techniques, its roots and role in the Country's history, together with its originality and craftsmanship.

Although our new membership year has just begun, the Nominating Committee is a standing committee that is always looking for members to get involved.  Think about volunteering your services next time around.  Have a voice in your guild!

Board meetings are the third Thursday of each month and are held at the Mineola Community Center.  All are welocomed.

Jackie Carway is serving her second term as the guild's president.  Her motto continues to be "One Less UFO".
Her enthusiasm for completing UFOs has taken off within the guild.  In May, at our yearly dinner, many members displayed their completed UFO's.
