PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
|
| |
|
Dear Evening Star Quilters,
Not that I want to rush through the holidays or anything,
but I am really looking forward to Mineola Quilts Night!
I honestly can't wait to see all those blocks come together.
And just think how you'll be helping to keep somebody
warm on those cold winter nights! Remember everyone
- Bring whatever supplies you need to complete the task
you signed up to do! And one more thing - Representatives
from LIQS are expected to come and display their raffle
quilt at our January meeting. Remember how they graciously
let us display and sell tickets for our raffle quilt?
Well, we are now returning the favor. Bring an extra
dollar or so and help support a sister guild! Wishing
you all the Happiest and Warmest of Holidays! (And I
mean warm in the psycological/sentimental kind of way.
I want snow!)
Sew long, Cathy

COMMUNITY SERVICE
NEWS
|
|
by Betty Vernillo and Marie Arbucci
During November Santa¹s elves were busy making community
service quilts, 15 in all. While elves are generally
shy, they did okay. Their names are: Sharon Almeida,
Betty Belford, Mary Cody' Pat Costa, Margaret DeAcetis,
Arlene LoCastro, Jean McNamara, Nancy Spatafora, Rafaela
Spiegel, and Alice Tritschler Elves, we thank you. We
also thank Marie Desiano¹s cousin, an avid crocheter,
who contributed three lovely afghans to our stash. We¹ll
be out there with Santa and his helpers delivering your
gifts, and that will definitely make us feel good all
over!!
|
| Please remember to bring the tools you will need
to participate in the Mineola Quilts night. |
