If you are thinking about entering a quilt in the President’s Challenge in our Harvest of Quilts Show, here are the details:

Theme: ………A Time for Peace
Size:……………20″ x 20″ (in honor of our 20 Year Anniversary)
Color: ………..Should contain a minimum of 1 piece of blue fabric and 1 piece of yellow fabric
…………………..(any size)
Assembly: ….Quilts may be pieced, appliqued, painted, embroidered, beaded (or
…………………..any combination thereof).
Quilting: …….Must contain some quilting – by hand, machine, or both
Required:……Label with the maker’s name(s) and a 4″ sleeve (minimum) for hanging
……………………(cover name with painter’s tape until after judging)
Optional:…….Artist’s statement
Judging:………President’s choice

Q:  Regarding the highlighted fabric:  does the piece have to be a separate piece or can the color be within a fabric like an ombre or a batik or a blend?
A:  It’s fine as long as there is some blue, even a small amount. An ombre sounds fine.
